John Buterbaugh Undergraduate Research Associate

John Buterbaugh is a student in the College, currently majoring in Political Science with a minor in Statistics. John’s academic interests include political theory, international relations, classics, and security and conflict studies. Outside of his academics, John participates in the University’s Model UN conference, ChoMUN, where he is currently working to simulate the government of the Tangier International Zone. John also writes for the campus comedy magazine, the Shady Dealer, and assists with research in the Classics Department. John has been with CPOST since the summer of 2019, transferring to the Analytics Department in October of that year. At CPOST, John appreciates the ability to apply his theoretical political science knowledge to real-world problems and engage in empirical research.
