Russell Carter Graduate Research Assistant

Russell Carter is a second-year graduate student at the University of Chicago’s Harris School of Public Policy. He joined CPOST in the winter of 2019 and is currently the supervisor of the Data Analytics Team. He expects to graduate with an MPP and certificates in Global Conflict Studies, International Policy & Development, and Data Analytics in 2022. His research interests include political violence, quantitative approaches to conflict analysis, spatial data science / GIS, and technology implementation. Russell has a master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis in International Affairs, and a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University in Philosophy.
