Senan Sumrein Graduate Research Assistant

Senan Sumrein is a graduate research associate and a Master’s candidate for the Committee on International Relations at the University of Chicago. Senan joined CPOST in fall of 2018 and has worked on ISIS propaganda directed at Russia and former Soviet republics -also known as Commonwealth of Independent States. Senan’s research focuses on Russia's military intervention in Syria and its Strategy in the Middle East at large. Earlier research also included methods of combating corruption, care work and its global socioeconomic impact on women and colonization in the history of economic thought. Senan has a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics from the University of Michigan at Dearborn.
