Looking for a new read in 2020? CPOST Assistant Director and faculty member, Robert Gulotty, is finishing up his book, Narrowing the Channel The Politics of Regulatory Protection in International Trade. Gulotty analyzes health, safety, and environmental standards policy making in the United States and the European Union and shows how large firms seek regulatory schemes that disproportionately disadvantage small firms. As part of the new University of Chicago Press Books Chicago Series on International and Domestic Institutions, it will be part of a list of reads that demonstrate how domestic political institutions affect foreign policy, and how international changes impact domestic political dynamics.
