Chris Hasbrook is Chairman of the Hagel Advisory Council of the Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST), a Research Center at UChicago. He is the CEO of Rusoh, Inc., the world's most innovative fully UL Certified Fire Extinguisher company.
Prior to his current role, was founder and CEO of Public Safety Strategies L.L.C working with companies to develop products, enter markets, and assist owners in expanding their businesses. Chris also worked at UL Solutions where he held the position of Vice President and General Manager of UL’s Building Science Customer Operating Unit, with full responsibility for the Unit’s roughly quarter-billion dollar revenue P&L business.
Chris earned an MBA in International Business from DePaul University and a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. Chris also received an Executive Degree from Yale University and an AI certification degree from MIT.
Prior to joining UL, Chris held management positions with Accenture, Deloitte, and with PeopleSoft, where Chris led industry-specific Corporate Strategy and Product Planning activities.
Chris is the co-inventor of a digital algorithm that predicts fire loss in building structures, informing owners and insurers of risks. Chris is co-founder of the Chicago Fire Department Foundation, is an Honorary Fire Chief with the Chicago Fire Department and holds the title of Honorary Battalion Chief of the Fire Department of New York (FDNY). He is also co-founder of the UL Firefighter Safety Research Institute and remains an advisor to Underwriters Laboratories Inc. leadership.
Chris is a Board Member of the Notre Dame Deloitte Center for Ethical Leadership and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
