Dr. Jean Decety is the Co-PI on CPOST's groundbreaking Minerva Initiative grant, "The Social and Neurological Construction of Martyrdom." Dr. Decety is a world renowned expert in neuroscience and psychology.

Dr. Decety (Ph.D. in Neurobiology, University Claude Bernard, France) is Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Chicago, and the director of the Child Neurosuite. He recently edited the Oxford Handbook of Social Neuroscience (2011), The Social Neuroscience of Empathy (2009), Empathy from Bench to Bedside (2012) at MIT Press, New Frontiers in Social Neuroscience (2014) at Springer, and The Moral Brain (2015) at MIT press.
