Michael Kennedy is a venture capitalist with a focus on developing and growing early-stage companies. His work involves a wide range of national and international companies in an array of different fields, including nano-technology, digital music, and fashion design. He is a Lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School and prior to working with entrepreneurial companies, Mr. Kennedy was a litigation associate at Novack and Macey (Chicago).
In his free time, Mr. Kennedy is passionate about promoting the performing arts in Chicago and is a member of the Board of TImeLine Theater Company. In addition, Mr. Kennedy is an offshore sailboat racer and participates in races such as the Chicago to Mackinac Race and San Francisco’s Big Boat Series.
Mr. Kennedy is a Truman Scholar and earned his B.Phil from Miami University (summa cum laude), a M.Sc. in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a J.D. from the University of Chicago.
